Hi Kristy,

I appreciated how you explained the significance of individualised instruction for each student and how you explained inclusiveness. I now have a basic understanding of the meaning and process of backward design after reading your post.

Dr. Ilene Schwartz, a professor at the University of Washington, gave a Tedx Talk about the importance of inclusive education. In the video, Schwartz explains the classroom is a challenging setting. It can soon devolve into a collection of little groups that happen to be in the same room if not expressly managed, rather than an inclusive whole. She also explains how ignoring management has far-reaching repercussions.
